Pillar 6:
Since we are called by God to be holy like He is, here are some examples of how Catholics can live a holy life:
Reject sin
Live the virtues
Not to use profanity, and not to gossip
Be obedient to Christ and His Catholic Church, by obeying His Teachings, the precepts of His Church, and to the laws of His Church
Renew daily the promises made at one's Baptism, and Confirmation
Do a daily examination of conscience
Have the formation of one's conscience completely united to the Holy Spirit, and to the authentic Teaching of the Catholic Church
Do the Corporal Works of Mercy, and the Spiritual Works of Mercy
The canonized saints are teachers of holiness. Their holy acts are something we need to emulate. Here are some examples of what we can learn from the saints:
Be chaste in whatever vocation one is in
Not have money and power being the focus in one's life
Live the 10 Commandments and the Beatitudes, faithfully, and obediently
Be a strong witness to the authentic Teaching of the Gospel, to the point of willing to become a martyr for the Catholic faith
Have hope in the resurrection of the dead, and in the reward of having eternal life with Jesus in Heaven
Do one's best at everything, and to offer one's talents for the glory of God
Do good to one's neighbor and enemy
Find joy in one's current vocation (Holy Orders, Religious Life, Single Life or Married Life)
To have trust in Christ even during the "dark night(s) of the senses/soul"
To see suffering as a gift from Christ
To be a humble servant
- The last part of Pillar 6 includes the following:

- To be open to embracing one of the Ecclesial Movements, and or a fraternal institute in the Catholic Church (An example of an Ecclesial Movement is Opus Dei, and an example of a fraternal institute is the Knights of Columbus)
- To always love the rich traditions and heritage of the Catholic Church by appreciating the unique beauty within the Rites of the Church

- To pray for the continued holiness of the clergy
- To never compromise the authentic Teaching of the Catholic Church when entering into dialogue with other religious faiths
- To participate in Christ's mission of transforming the Culture of Death into a Culture of Life (examples: voting for Pro-Life politicians, supporting companies that promote family values and the Pro-Life movement, and watching moral movies and television shows)
- To be grateful to God for all the blessings He has given
- To live one's Catholic faith every day of the year, by bringing the authentic Teaching of the Catholic Church into all areas of one's life (work, school, at home, at church, etc.), in season and out of season
